Summer holiday activities for approximately 50 children from socially disadvantaged families from the Aldan region municipalities (Chatystyr, Ugajan) were supported by the sum of 2,000 euro. The funds were used to cover transportation costs, accommodation, meals and supplies. The project is run on regular annual basis.
Project objectives:
- to develop life skills
- to build awareness of cultural values
- to develop social conditions of local communities
- to build value systems in children and youth
- to engage local communities into informal education
- to accentuate regular activities with children and youth
Achieved results:
- development of life skills – team work, independence, flexibility, creativity, self-confidence, friendliness, tactfulness, communication
- proper use of leisure time
- adoption of value systems
- influence on the development of social conditions in local communities
