Scholarship Fund is focused on supporting education of disadvantaged youth in Ukraine. Thanks to scholarships the orphans, half-orphans and poor young people get an opportunity to obtain practical skills at Salesian vocational training school in Lviv. Since 24^th February 2022 all donations to the Scholarship Fund will be allocated for help for people of Ukraine, especially emergency aid and aid to refugees in cooperation with the Salesians Don Bosco. 50 boys from the orphanage in Lviv made it safely to Slovakia, where they and their two guardians found refuge. Apart from the vocational training school Salesians of don Bosco in Ukrainian Lviv run also an orphanage. It is called „Family house Pokrova“ and it is real home for 65 boys from 7 to 18 years old. Formation of the orphanage was initiated „from below“ – someone brought an orphan boy to Salesians to take care of him. Another Salesian institution in the city is a dormitory for 50 boys. Some of them study at the vocational training school, others at the university. They are trying to live good and dignified life.
