Today, on 15th of May, 2025 in Kakuma, Kenya, a ceremony is being held to celebrate the silver anniversary of the presence of the Salesians of Don Bosco in this refugee camp. For 25 years, the Salesians have been giving people here education, skills and hope for a better life. SAVIO and SlovakAid were at the birth of the Don Bosco Kakuma Technical Institute in 2016, which is open to both refugees and the local Turkana Kenyan community. Our friends from eRko were also present at the ceremony!
