“I can tell you that the work we are doing with the refugees is going very well. What is beautiful is that we bring food and medicine to the most affected areas such as Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lugansk Region and Donetsk. We have planned with the Salesians in Slovakia to get a truckload food every week. Let’s see, probably we should increase this quantity. Near Lviv we have a depot where we can store up to 5 trucks of material. Every time we discover more and more new places that need food. We send bread to Kharkiv every week with the support of Don Bosco in Bonn and we will certainly increase the quantity as soon as we start our new bakery.

Today the generators from the Missioni Don Bosco in Turin left and they will hopefully arrive at the beginning of next week. In this way, we can be sure that in the event of a power failure, we will not suspend our humanitarian activities.

We are carrying out work that was planned at the beginning of the war with the Mission Office of Lugano. This is to adapt our large structure to offer shelter to people. It will also serve a part of the city district. I hope we can finish the work within a month.

We’re already trying to work with sports people. Today we had our first training sessions. We took the liberty of starting these sporting activities to help the boys to come out slowly from the stress of the war. We are also trying to involve refugee children and young people. We already have seven new boys in our community home. They are coming from our region and from the war zone. Also today we sent another group of mothers with children to Valdocco.
