In April 2021, during the time of the biggest crisis, we were part of helping people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in India. In Karnataka and Kerala, we cooperated with the Salesian organization BREADS, which mainly involved young volunteers in its activities to help people. It was they who daily distributed food packages to the families who could not leave their homes and provided medical supplies to infected patients. The volunteers also provided psychological assistance for people who had lost loved ones or lost hope. They helped the Salesians transform their centers and parishes into temporary hospitals. There were volunteers who were visiting the local hospitals every day and helped the busy hospital staff. Salesian volunteers were there for people throughout the difficult time, and it was thanks to your contributions that we were able to support these activities.
