The public fundraising event The Tehlička for Africa was supported by 150 primary schools and kindergartens, 37 secondary schools and 67 youth centers and parishes from all over Slovakia. The fundraising was also supported by many individual donors and by more than 4,000 SMS. The total outcome of the collection was 92,646.71 euro.
After calculating the organizational costs of the event, the total net outcome was used as follows:
South Sudan 40,000 euro
a) an irrigation system in Manguo-Maridi – 20,000 euro
b) a well for a hospital in Manguo-Maridi – 20,000 euro
Kenya 16,500 euro a contribution to dig and run a well in the Bosco Boys center for children living in the streets, Nairobi
Chad 10,000 euro
a contribution to construct a well in a school in N’Djamena
Ecuador 9,000 euro
a contribution to build hygienic facilities in Tuutin Entsa.
